The heavy stuff….

All this in a Honda Odyssey(Jodi)  … literally!  I had surgery earlier in March and am not able to lift anything heavy.  Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but when you are planning on moving everything you own – than it becomes an issue.  Kenny is great, but even he can’t move a couch or queen size bed on his own.

My daughter Alexandria came down from school at John Carroll University with her boyfriend Jack.  It was the first time we got to meet him and we just love him.  He is a very sweet guy.  We had dinner and played Settlers of Catan.  Great game!  Being big board game people (at least the girls and I are), whenever I can get someone to play we are on!

He had to leave that night to see his family in Chicago for Easter, but we appreciate him driving so far out of his way to meet us before we left on our “adventure”.

My sister Jeri Lynn came on Thursday and also stayed over to help us pack everything up.  She doesn’t get many days off (OK yes she does, she has an awesome job).  But she gave up three days of having the house to herself, (her boys are away on vacation with dad) to help us move.  Best sister EVER!

Not much to say about it.  Great to spend time with the two of them, but It still sucked. Moving is never fun.  But its done!

It took awhile but we did get everything put away. New pics to follow tomorrow.

  2. YES – that $hit was HEAVY! Amazing what you can fit in and on top of a mini-van! LOL You’ll be repaying me when I keep visiting all the cool places you’ll be!

  3. I updated the post and posted the picture of your van. That thing is amazing!
