Before we left Ohio, Alexandria, Lynn and I went up to see mom and John. I wanted a chance to say goodbye. Unless I can convince them to come and visit, it may be a couple years before we see them again. It was a wonderful visit – but too short as the major moving still had to be done.
Last year my mother had a heart attack and we didn’t think she would make it out of intensive care. We are all so glad she pulled through. She was left with only a small percentage of her heart functioning. Recently she learned that it is healing – getting better. Yeah!
Life is short people. Live every day like it is your last.
My mom and John live in an adorable lake cottage on Little Punderson Lake in Newbury, Ohio. This is the view out their window overlooking the deck. It is five minutes from Punderson State Park – an absolute must stop if you are in the area.
John has dedicated years to updating the home. The work he has put in is so impressive. Lynn and I have decided we could live in the bathroom. All of the woodwork was done by hand by John and covers the walls and ceilings in all the rooms. The furniture was hand-built by local Amish men.
We really do hope that you will come visit us. It would be a lot of fun!.
