Our limited view of Texas

(Jodi)  These pictures aren’t meant to offend anyone – if they do I apologize.  This blog is to capture our memories of our trip around America.  A few days ago we made a very hurried trip across Northern Texas along routes 20, 35, 287 and 40.  We made no stops except for at one rest area — which I must say was simply the BEST rest stop I’ve ever seen.  We spoke to no people except for the exceptionally nice woman at the rest area.

So our view is extremely limited.  I am in no way saying that THIS is Texas — but this is the Texas we saw along our path – good/bad/funny/sad and some just interesting.  We hope to give Texas justice on another trip when we can see the REAL thing and meet its people.  Enjoy.

  1. Yeah there are definitely better parts of Texas. San Antonio, Galveston, Dallas, Austin. 🙂

Yes, I’m really looking forward to seeing more of it. Hopefully next year. Thanks for following! I hope we get to meet up with you guys again sometime soon. You guys should come to Wyoming this summer.

    • Well Wyoming is a little far to travel with our tiny camper. 🙂 We are sporting a tiny 24′ tow behind with no slides. So far have not gone more than 2 hours from home with it but taking it on it’s first trip out of state at the end of the month when we go to Ohio to spend a week with Pete’s family. If you ever swing back east with your motorhome we would love to meet up somewhere and for now I just keep reading your blog with envy. 🙂

      • How fun! You’ll be able to get in and out of all those cool little camping spots that we can only glance at. I hope you have a great time. We will definately get in touch with you when we head back East. My daughter graduates from John Carroll in 2015. Seems so far away when you put in on paper. But we will most likely be getting summer jobs out that aways that year.
